My name is Chantelle Lagatule, and I'm a 47-year-old mother of four incredible children, ranging from 30 down to 12. If that wasn't enough joy, I'm also blessed with five amazing grandchildren, from a bustling eight-year-old to a precious three-month-old bundle of joy.

I'm a half-caste Niuean, born and raised right here in beautiful New Zealand. Growing up, I experienced firsthand the struggle of being disconnected from my heritage language. All I knew were the very basics of Vagahau Niue. Back then, resources were scarce, and the heartfelt desire to teach my own children the language of our ancestors was a dream that felt just out of reach.

That yearning never left me. My heart truly called out for a solution, not just for my family, but for our wider community. That's why "Learn Your Lingo" was born. It started as a passion project, a way to create the very resources I wished I had. I poured my soul into making it a tangible product, something you could hold and learn from.

Now, after years of dedication, I'm thrilled to be transforming those efforts, converting them into accessible, engaging digital products as well. My aim is to bridge that gap for future generations, ensuring that no one has to feel the same sense of longing for their language.
